Atlantic Surf School Educational Programs for Schools
Atlantic Surf School offers tailored educational programs for schools, TY students, clubs, students with additional needs, and English language schools with International students. These programs, designed for both local and international students, provide a unique opportunity to learn water safety, surf techniques, and ocean awareness in a structured way.
Students will be taught to identify water hazards, understand tides and surf conditions, and develop the skills needed to stay safe while enjoying the ocean. Our experienced instructors create an inclusive, supportive environment, ensuring all participants—regardless of ability or background—can learn and grow.
For English language schools, this program is an excellent addition to their EU educational offerings, blending practical surfing skills with valuable lessons on water safety and the marine environment.

Our sessions are led by certified surf instructors who are Garda vetted and trained in child protection and water safety. These educational programs focus on building confidence in the water and developing new skills in a fun, engaging way.

We are located in the National Surf Centre in Strandhill, Co. Sligo.

Each lesson includes a surfboard, wetsuit, and boots.
The total length of each lesson is 2.5 hours from the point a client arrives until they leave.
We recommend bringing a towel, sunscreen, water, and a swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit.
If you have your own surf gear, such as boards and wetsuits, you are welcome to bring them.
Our lessons are primarily in English, but we have multilingual instructors. We can also offer lessons in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.
Absolutely! All our lessons are designed for beginners. We will teach you how to stand on a surfboard in no time. Our instructors are experienced in helping first-timers get comfortable and enjoy their surfing experience.
